Croft Wootton Construction is a Victorian-registered builder established in the Mornington Peninsula in 2005. Despite being a small local company, our commitment to excellence has made us the preferred Mornington builders for luxury home and commercial construction. Our Main Ridge office services the entire Peninsula, from Pearcedale to Portsea and everywhere in between.
From conception to handover, Croft Wootton Construction takes the hassle out of building.
We listen to your needs and take the time to understand your vision. Rather than dismissing ideas, we brainstorm solutions to help realise your dreams.
Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of the Croft Wootton approach. We’ve been prioritising Green Living constructions for decades and have a firm understanding of Passive House techniques. With every project, our aim is to achieve the highest energy efficiency rating possible and recycle as much building material as we can.
A passion for sustainability and helping people realise their dreams
Our founder, Nick Wootton, fell in love with construction upon receiving a full-size carpentry bench for his 10th birthday. Since then, he’s spent decades building and repairing things underwater for the offshore oil and gas industry and worked on wooden ships in the boat yards of South England. For the last 20 years, Nick’s been busy building dream homes and commercial projects right here in the Mornington Peninsula.
Recognised for our commitment to environmentally responsible building practices and energy-efficient design.
Accredited by the industry’s peak national body, upholding the highest standards in craftsmanship and professionalism.
Fully registered and compliant with all Victorian building regulations, ensuring every project meets strict safety and quality requirements.

We’ve amassed a trophy room full of prestigious industry awards for residential and commercial projects in the Mornington Peninsula.
In 2023, Croft Wootton Constructions took home an MBAV Special Commendation for the Best Sustainable Home Over $1 Million. The passive house property in Martha’s Cove sits at 18-20C without any heating or cooling and sends excess generated electricity to the grid.
Croft Wootton Construction received a National Trust award for recreating the original Red Hill train station with immaculate attention to detail, delivering an authentic representation of a heritage place.
Croft Wootton Construction received a National Trust award for restoring the ‘The Briars Homestead.’ The project involved extensive structural and aesthetic restorations to the historic residence and contributory building while maintaining the fabric and integrity of the original homestead.
Our eco-friendly Passive House project in Somers won the Master Builders Victoria Best Sustainable Home Award in 2017. Features such as double-glazed argon gas-filled uPVC windows and a roof-mounted photovoltaic system mean this net-zero property can produce more energy than it uses.
We have been a VBA-registered builder since 2005 and a Gold Member of the Master Builders Association Victoria for the same duration. Our team brings decades of combined experience across residential, commercial and specialist construction.
Croft Wootton Construction is registered through the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), approved by the Victorian Managed Insurance Agency (VMIA), and supported by a network of qualified trades, engineers and subcontractors. We meet all regulatory requirements for domestic and commercial construction work.
Yes. All our work is carried out to strict industry standards and is backed by a 10-year structural guarantee. Our track record includes award-winning projects recognised by the MBAV and the National Trust.
We use a cloud-based project management system that allows clients to view plans, approve selections, track progress, review budgets, see invoices, and monitor job logs. This ensures full transparency and a consistent communication flow from the start of the project through to handover.
We work across a wide range of construction types, including architectural homes, renovations, commercial builds, Passive House projects, and rammed-earth construction. Our team is experienced in both traditional and high-performance building techniques.
